Game On: Experience Esports with CoJMC
You have been invited to experience the ever-evolving world of esports at the College of Journalism and Mass Communication. High school journalism/media students will have the opportunity to get a peek behind the scenes of an esports tournament hosted at the CoJMC. Join us in our Meier TV Studio on Friday, October 23 for the Super Smash Bros. tournament or on Friday, November 20 for the Rocket League tournament. From media coverage to event management, you'll get the opportunity to learn how esports events operate and to connect with current students, faculty and staff.
At this event you will:
- Experience an esports tournament
- Interact with athletes, coaches and media students in a real world situation
- See how media content is produced for esports events
- Meet and network with CoJMC students, faculty and staff
Event details:
Date: Friday, October 23 and Friday, November 20, 2026
Time: Check-in at 5:45 p.m., event begins at 6 p.m.
Event will conclude around 9 p.m.
