Zac Franzen is the Alumni Relations and Events Coordinator for the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. He has been working in the events field for more than five years, the last two years being with the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. Zac has a strong passion working in events, and creating quality, memorable experiences for all who participate in them. He also engages with alumni of the college, creating opportunities for networking, and maintaining a relationship with CoJMC. 

Franzen is currently working on completing his undergraduate degree at UNL, majoring in Global Studies with an emphasis in European and Asian Foreign Policy, and a double minor in Political Science and National Securities. He also completed a portion of his degree studying at Peter the Great Polytechnic University in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Outside of the office, Zac supports and participates in the Nebraska theatre community, writing theatre reviews for Appearing Locally, is a judge for the Nebraska School Activities Association in Play Production and Speech, and helps coach high school students in public speaking and theatre across the state. He also loves traveling, studying different languages, and cooking.
