Arielle Wiedenbeck speaks at Public Relations Society of America’s ICON Conference

Arielle Wiedenbeck graduated from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications in May 2021. While at Andersen Hall she studied advertising and public relations and political science. She was also the creative director for 2020-2021 UNL Public Relations Students Society of America Bateman Team. The team won second place in the national competition with their project “The Civility Effect”.

Fall 2021 graduate assistantships

The  College of Journalism and Mass Communications has 12 graduate assistants this fall. Graduate assistantships in the CoJMC are offered to promising scholars with an interest in gaining teaching, research or industry experience in their field. Graduate assistants serve as teaching or research assistants to accomplished faculty, teach in the college’s innovative Design Communication Program or work in strategic communications for an industry partner.

Our agency provides clients with research, strategic branding, videography, photography, social media strategy, and various design deliverables. With the help and guidance of faculty, Jacht provides students with the chance to apply what they learned in the classroom by working with clients on real world projects. Jacht offers a unique opportunity to create the first draft of your career while still in college.

As we work through the pandemic, there will likely be additional updates to campus policies. I appreciate your patience and participation. Please continue to wear a mask indoors and keep your smartphone handy to show your status card on the Safer Community App for building access. Walk-in vaccine clinics are available at the University Health Center Pharmacy Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you are not fully vaccinated, make sure you are completing your weekly Covid-19 tests to keep your status green for building access.
