Jacob Vanderford, a junior studying advertising and public relations and sports media and communication from Lincoln, was recently honored with the Student Leadership Award at the 2022-2023 University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Impact Awards. This prestigious award recognizes Vanderford's exceptional leadership skills and his significant contributions to the university community.
The Student Impact Awards, presented by the UNL Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement, celebrate the outstanding achievements of the more than 550 Recognized Student Organizations and their leaders. Vanderford's recognition highlights his exceptional leadership abilities, which have made a significant impact on the university community.
Shari Veil, dean of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, expressed pride in Vanderford's accomplishments.
"We are incredibly proud of Jacob and his achievements. He has earned significant recognition as a leader among his peers," she said.
