The Nebraska Broadcasters Association Foundation awarded scholarships to two UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications students with aspirations to work in broadcasting upon their graduation. The following students are recipients of the $2,000 NBA EEO Scholarships for 2023:
Hannah-Kate Kinney of Omaha is a senior triple major studying broadcasting, journalism, and advertising and public relations.
Kylee Sodomka of Grand Island studied broadcasting, and sports media and communication at the CoJMC. She graduated from UNL in May 2023.
This unique scholarship program is supported by participating NBA member Station Employment Units (SEUs) who fund and promote the program and then review and score the resulting qualified applications. SEU scores are then averaged with the top two scoring applicants each awarded a scholarship.
