Three CoJMC alumni join the Young Alumni Academy

Three College of Journalism and Mass Communications alumni were selected to participate in the 2023-2024 Young Alumni Academy, hosted by the Nebraska Alumni Association.

The Academy offers participants exclusive opportunities for professional development, network-building with other successful alumni, personal meetings with university leaders and behind-the-scenes access to new campus facilities and initiatives. Members meet each month for an eight-month period.

The following is a list of 2023-2024 academy members by current hometown:

Lincoln, NE

  • Caitlin Wain ’07, ’10, College of Journalism and Mass Communications, news editorial; College of Law, juris doctor

 

Waterloo, NE

  • Taylor DeMaro ’15, College of Journalism and Mass Communications, advertising and public relations

Taylor currently works as the senior manager of integrated content on the university communications team at the University of Nebraska-LIncoln.

 

Washington, D.C.

  • Linsey Armstrong ’17, College of Journalism and Mass Communications, advertising and public relations

Linsey is the programs communication and outreach coordinator at Contracting Resources Group and is the contractor assigned to the Office of Global Programs in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) at the U.S. Department of State.

Founded in 2012, the Nebraska Young Alumni Academy is a professional and personal development program devoted to enhancing the connection between young alumni and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Read more about the 2023-2024 academy cohort here.
