Nebraska Mosaic students explore Democracy Day in Lincoln

Students in associate professor of practice Michelle Hassler’s Nebraska Mosaic class— a course focused on reporting for and about diverse audiences—wrote stories about Democracy Day for their first classassignment.
The students were part of the nationwide initiative to publish democracy-related stories on Sept. 15 as part of U.S. Democracy Day, a nationwide collaborative on the International Day of Democracy, in which news organizations cover how democracy works and the threats it faces.
Nebraska Mosaic students interviewed diverse Nebraskans who shared their perspectives about democracy, civic health and the American dream on Democracy Day. See their stories here.
