Nebraska Chapter of PRSSA Announces 2023-2024 Officer Team

The UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications is pleased to announce that the Nebraska Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America has selected its new officer team for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Valeria Uribe, a senior advertising and public relations and graphic design double major from Le Mars, Iowa, will lead the team as president. Uribe will oversee the chapter's strategic direction and ensure its continued growth and success. Firm Directors Katie Lockyear, a senior advertising and public relations and journalism double major from Lenexa, Kansas, and Sara Schulz, a senior advertising and public relations major from Brighton, Colorado, will manage the student-run PR firm, providing valuable hands-on experience for members.

Ana Wombacher, a junior advertising and public relations major from Ankeny, Iowa, will serve as vice president of professional development, providing members with opportunities to expand their skills and knowledge through workshops and events. Kamryn Snyder, a sophomore advertising and public relations and communication studies double major from Lincoln, Nebraska, will be vice president of chapter advancement, working to build relationships with other PRSSA chapters and industry professionals.

Diana Campos, a junior advertising and public relations major from La Vista, Nebraska, will serve as vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion, overseeing the chapter's efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the organization and beyond. Emily Stoner, a junior advertising and public relations major from Lincoln, Nebraska, will be the vice president of brand engagement, responsible for the chapter's brand and external communication efforts.

Lauren Karlin, a junior advertising and public relations and sports media and communication double major from Olathe, Kansas, and Ella Stine, a sophomore advertising and public relations major from Omaha, Nebraska, will serve as co-vice presidents of social media, managing the chapter's social media presence and engagement. Nora Crimmins, a sophomore advertising and public relations and sports media and communication double major from Elburn, Illinois, and Phoebe Lyons, a freshman advertising and public relations major from Geneva, Illinois, will serve as co-vice presidents of digital communications, responsible for the chapter's digital communication efforts.

Dave Remund, an assistant professor of practice in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, serves as the faculty advisor for the Nebraska Chapter of PRSSA.
