Kinney crowned homecoming royalty at Nebraska

College of Journalism and Mass Communications senior Hannah-Kate Kinney of Omaha was crowned homecoming royalty at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln on Saturday, Oct. 28.

Kinney and senior Preston Kotik of Hooper, elected in an online vote of the student body Oct. 25 and 26, were crowned on the field at Memorial Stadium during halftime of the Nebraska-Purdue football game.

Kinney is a journalism, broadcasting and advertising and public relations triple major. She is a member of Chi Omega, Mortar Board and the University Honors Program; a Clifton Strengths coach and a New Student Enrollment orientation leader.

Kinney is the marketing content strategy intern at Ameritas and a HuskerVision intern. She's also involved at the CoJMC in Jacht Ad Agency, Nebraska Nightly and as an ambassador. She is the daughter of Jon and Jane Kinney.
