Sunday, October 22, 2023 - 10:00am

Hannah-Kate Kinney is one of twenty senior students that have been selected as University of Nebraska–Lincoln homecoming royalty finalists. Kinney is a journalism, advertising and public relations, and broadcasting triple major from Omaha.

Kinney stays involved on campus, at the CoJMC and beyond—she's a member of Chi Omega sorority, a CoJMC ambassador and a member of UNL's senior honor society Mortar Board Black Masque Chapter. Kinney is also the marketing content strategy intern at Ameritas and a HuskerVision intern.

Previously, she was a new student enrollment orientation leader, the first student co-lead for Nebraska Nightly and the director of multimedia at Jacht Agency for two semesters. Kinney also held three leadership positions in her sorority: recruitment chair, panhellenic delegate and video chair.

The royalty winners will be elected by the student body in an online vote Oct. 25 and 26. They will be crowned Oct. 28 at halftime of the Nebraska vs. Purdue football game, which kicks off at 2:30 p.m. in Memorial Stadium.
