Four alumni recognized at 2023 PRISM Awards

Four University of Nebraska-Lincoln alumni have received recognition at the 2023 PRISM Awards, organized by the American Marketing Association Lincoln Chapter. The awards ceremony took place on May 9, 2023, at The Cornhusker Marriott Hotel in Lincoln.

Jackie Ostrowicki was named the Marketer of the Year. This prestigious award is given to an individual who demonstrates exceptional marketing skills, and Ostrowicki's success was recognized for her innovative marketing campaigns and contributions to the industry. Ostrowicki earned a bachelor's degree in advertising and public relations in 1998 and a master’s degree in educational administration in 2022 from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She is an assistant vice president and director of marketing, branding and digital media for the University of Nebraska. 

Christine Weeks was awarded the title of Corporate Marketer of the Year for her exceptional work in the marketing department of her organization, Eleanor Creative. Weeks graduated from UNL with a degree in community health education in 2001. She is the CEO and founder of Eleanor Creative, a brand experience agency in Lincoln. 

Jordan Snader received the Dorothy B. Clarke Award. This award is given to a young marketing professional who demonstrates exceptional talent and potential in the industry. Snader earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations in 2018 and currently works as a writer and producer at Swanson Russell in Lincoln. 

Katie Ripa was inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame. This award recognizes Ripa's remarkable achievements and contributions to the marketing industry throughout her career. Ripa graduated from UNL in 2000 with a degree in broadcasting. She is a vice president and account director at KidGlov in Lincoln. 

“I am excited to see four of our talented alumni receive recognition at the 2023 PRISM Awards. Jackie Ostrowicki, Christine Weeks, Jordan Snader and Katie Ripa are shining examples of the exceptional education and training that the University of Nebraska-Lincoln provides,” said Shari Veil, dean of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. “Their remarkable achievements and contributions to the marketing industry are a testament to their hard work and dedication, and we are proud to have played a role in their success."
