The end of the year provides a great opportunity to welcome our incredible alumni back to campus. In the last month we welcomed back MRM Global Creative Director Ronald Ng (’93) and New York Times Reporter Dionne Searcey (’93) to talk about their experience in global advertising and journalism. We also celebrated the opening of Joel Sartore’s (‘86) ‘Photo Ark’ exhibit at Morrill Hall and Vern Powers’ (’84) honor with the Jeff Vaske Service in Entrepreneurship Award.

AT&T Brand Competition

The CoJMC has been selected to participate in 2014 AT&T Campus Brand Challenge

The CoJMC is one of six schools across the country to participate in the AT&T Campus Brand Challenge. The winner will present an integrated marketing campaign to AT&T executives.

Matt Waite

Matt Waite Invited to Inaugural Al Jazeera Event

Nov 23 2014 - 6:00pm

Matt Waite is one of 90 individuals chosen to participate in a media innovation hackathon sponsored by Al Jazeera in Doha, Qatar. Waite was one of 1,000 applicants and learned of his acceptance in late October.

Faiz Siddiqui

Faiz Siddiqui finishes first in Hearst feature writing competition

Faiz Siddiqui placed first in the Hearst feature writing competition for his story titled, "Saving Sisay." This represents Siddiqui’s fourth top-five Hearst award. He was a runner-up in the national writing championship in 2013.

Larry Walklin

Larry Walklin to receive Journalism Educator Award

Larry Walklin, a longtime professor at the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will receive the Omaha Press Club Foundation’s Journalism Educator Award.

CoJMC recognizes Omaha's top high school communicators

Klein to return to University of Nebraska–Lincoln for Alumni Masters Week

Angie Klein, vice president of Northeast Sales and Marketing for Verizon, is the 2014 CoJMC alumni master. She joins nine other outstanding alumni and 56 past alumni masters for campus visits Nov. 19-21.

CoJMC announces 2015 NSAC team

The College of Journalism and Mass Communications announced today 21 students will compete in the 2015 National Student Advertising Competition. The University of Nebraska–Lincoln team will compete against 150 colleges from across the U.S. for the top prize.
