Our Student Spotlight, Natalie Saenz, is a CoJMC first-year senior who majors in Journalism and Broadcasting. This summer she’s a reporting intern at the Grand Island Independent newspaper. After graduating in May 2021 she knows she’ll be prepared for whatever comes next because her professors and the J school curriculum have given her countless opportunities to challenge herself. Although she’s at a small town paper now, her big time dream is to work for a Telemundo news network as a reporter. For Saenz, bilingual news is a big part of why she loves what she’s learning, she’d be happy working in either print or television.
