The Nebraska chapter of the Public Relations Society of America awarded UNL’s Public Relations Student Society of America with 11 Paper Anvil Awards.
This year Jacht, a full-service, student-led advertising agency won two awards of merit. The 2020 Bateman team won three awards of excellence and won best of show in the student category. UNL's PRSSA chapter won three awards of excellence, two awards of merit, and chapter president Lauren Tritch was recognized for earning a scholarship from PRSA in the fall of 2020.
As PRSSA chapter adviser and Jacht executive director, CoJMC faculty member Jemalyn Griffin was able to work with the PRSSA student award winners and many members of the Jacht team.
“I’m very proud of these hardworking students,” Griffin said. “Many of these initiatives were completed at the peak of the pandemic, and these student leaders pushed forward and truly shined during a period of great adversity.”
The Virtual Paper Anvil Awards Gala was held on Jan. 28, 2021. The event honored all award winners across the state.
