Marian Andersen received the 2016 Sower Award from the Nebraska Humanities Council Sept. 27 at a dinner before the 21st Annual Governor’s Lecture in the Humanities.
In addition to being long-time patrons of the Arts, Andersen and her late husband, Harold Andersen, have been long-time supporters of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications. The college’s home, Andersen Hall, is named in their honor.
