We had packed house over the weekend as alums traveled across the country to celebrate the life and legacy of Professor George Tuck. Speakers included CoJMC alums Jennifer Gutierrez (‘90), Mike Theiler (‘76), Julia Dean (‘92), Joel Sartore (‘85) and George and Mary Lynn’s dear friend Sherri Johnson. We had a wonderful turnout for our KRNU 50th Anniversary Party. Alumnus and DJ D-Wayne and live music from The Garage Band, featuring Emeritus Professor Jerry Renaud, kept us rocking throughout the evening. We even had a specialty drink called The Red Phone to remind us of our Avery Hall days! Check out this video from the event with some of our big name KRNU/KNUS alumni reflecting on their time in college radio.

David Berman selected for Dow Jones News Fund internship

National Broadcasting Society receives Model Chapter Award

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s National Broadcasting Society (NBS) chapter received the 2021 Model Chapter Award from the National Electronic Media Association for finding a way to safely stay active in NBS during one of the heights of the pandemic.

Design challenge mural added to the Bailey Lauerman Student Commons

Last fall, advertising and public relations and graphic design student Ashleigh Kawaoka won the $1,000 scholarship prize in the 2021 Bailey Lauerman Design Diversity in Nebraska Challenge.
