A team of eight CoJMC students recently made the final four in the National Organ Donor Awareness Competition (NODAC), sponsored by the Anthony J. Fulginiti (AJF) Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapter at Rowan University. Last spring was the first time a CoJMC team participated in the competition.

The campaign, “Easy Act, Big Impact,” celebrated the majority of UNL students already registered as organ donors, as a way to expand campus awareness of the need for organ donation and to encourage more students to register. AJF PRSSA will announce final results at the PRSSA National Conference being held in Austin, Texas, from Oct. 5-9 2018. The NODAC first, second and third place campaign entries will receive monetary prizes. Fourth place winners will receive an honorable mention.

CoJMC team members included:

● Marie Fidegnon

● Allyssa Hynes

● Aleah Karimi

● Rachel Long

● Christina Neary

● Jordan Snader

● Anastasia Stepanyuk

● Allison Wetig

“This can-do team of ADPR, broadcasting and journalism majors was mission driven from the start. It’s a tremendous honor for students to be named to the final four and reflects the outstanding impact their campaign made on campus,” said CoJMC lecturer Sheri Sallee, who served as the team’s faculty adviser.
