CoJMC ADPR student campaign earns top-four ranking in PRSSA National Organ Donor Awareness Competition

Thursday, June 20, 2019 - 4:00pm

The CoJMC Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) team was announced this week as a top-four finalist in the National Organ Donor Awareness Competition (NODAC) sponsored by the Anthony J. Fulginiti (AJF) PRSSA Chapter at Rowan University. Spring 2019 was the second year a CoJMC team participated and a second time CoJMC ADPR students earned national recognition in the competition.

The CoJMC campaign “Live On. Give On.” strove to educate UNL students about how organ donors can give the gift of life while still living. More than 700 students were reached with face-to-face communications prior to an all-day event held in April. The team surpassed all of its communications goals at the event with:  117 students registering their organ donation wishes on the iPhone health app, 50 students completing bone marrow swab kits and 31 unregistered students joining the registry as organ donors.
