Name a person who helped you be successful at Nebraska and how: : Amy Struthers, sparked my creativity ; Stacy James ignited my passion, Clint! Runge made me confront my fears and Marcelo Plioplis gave a career.

Where are you currently working and what are you doing? : I am President & CEO of Downtown Lincoln
What was your first job postgrad and how do you think it helped you grow in your career? : My first job was created through a partnership with the COJMC and the Downtown Lincoln Association, and I am here solely through the College's connection with the real world community.
What is one CoJMC class that impacted your current career? : An advanced creative class with Clint! Runge, who gave a speech in the first class, which essentially said if you are not willing to put in the work just leave now. I left. Then joined Marcelo Plioplis' class, which partnered with Downtown Lincoln Association for a project. They hired me to implement the project and I am still here after 12 years. I don't know if this is a good lesson, but it is a lesson.
Fill in the blank: "The best thing about being a Husker is ___________________.": Being close to Downtown Lincoln.
Are you currently working on any special projects? : Downtown Lincoln recently completed a new Master Plan, which we look forward to implementing. Several exiting catalyst projects are outlined, including the creation of a Music District downtown.
Any funky talents or hobbies? Life changing experiences? : My nickname in high school was Stat Boy and I have the talent of knowing a lot about nothing and a little about everything.
Have you completed any other degrees postgraduate? If so, where, when and path of study:: I have unofficially become a certified Urban Therapist.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? : My first choice was to be a professional Sim City 2000 player, my backup was drawing pictures of football players and my safety was to run a Downtown organization.
What would you say is the most important skill or quality to have "out in the real world"?: Being kind, real and taking advantage of any opportunity given to you.
Why should Nebraska students enroll in CoJMC courses? : Because it is your gateway to education and the real world. The college is intrinsically opportunistic and will have a wonderfully positive impact on your career and life.
What advice do you have for current students, prospective students? : Say yes to any opportunity or don't if it doesn't feel right, but do if its about getting involved with COJMC.
