Mosaic Multimedia Class

Mosaic

Mosaic student interviews a community member

Journalism students in the Mosaic class publish stories about Nebraska’s refugees and immigrants – so they get international reporting experience without ever having to leave the state. Students study global issues and interview people from all over the world as they practice multimedia storytelling. This capstone course allows students to work on real projects and make an impact in the community.

Mosaic has provided me with real-world experience with a newsroom-like approach to assignments. By pitching, reporting and editing my stories for Mosaic I had the opportunity to gain experience that directly translates into a newsroom as well as develop portfolio pieces. Emily Case
