We are renovating the lobby to provide a better front office experience in the college. We are also installing digital screens to showcase our fantastic student work.
Access to the building will be maintained during construction. However, paths through the lobby will be restricted. Please follow all signage related to traversing this space to ensure your safety during the project.
TV Studios
Studios
The television studios will be available for classes and student projects. Capacity in the studios is limited to 8 students. Facial coverings and social distancing are required. The television studio cameras are only available during CoJMC class times under the supervision of an instructor.
Television Control Rooms
The television control rooms are only available during CoJMC classes under the supervision of an instructor. Physical modifications, including plexiglass, have been completed in these spaces. For additional information on using the control rooms, please contact your instructor.
Audio Studios
Most of the audio studios are limited to a maximum capacity of two (205-208). Studios 248 and 249 are limited to one individual. Facial coverings are required. To record audio in the studios without a facial cover, you must be alone in the studio with the door closed.
Cleaning supplies will be available. Students are responsible for cleaning all spaces before and after every use.
Gloves are required to use sound equipment. Disposable windscreens are required for microphone use and available in the studio. Students must provide their own headphones.
Doors to the studios should be propped open between use.
Podcasting Studio
New!
The college has a brand new podcasting studio located in 313 Andersen. Facial coverings are required in some cases. To record audio in the podcasting studio without a facial cover, you must be alone in the studio with the door closed or limited to 2 individuals without face masks provided they are at opposite ends of the studio at the studio tables, where a 6 ft partition is installed between the two with the door closed.

Gloves are required to use sound equipment. Disposable windscreens are required for microphone use. Alternatively, pop-filters are available in the Checkout Room.
Students are required to provide their own headphones.
Soundbooth
The Soundbooth is limited to a maximum capacity of one. Students may use the Soundbooth without a facial covering if the door is closed.
Cleaning supplies will be available. Students are responsible for cleaning all spaces before and after every use.

Computer Stations
Additional computers have been installed in the following locations in Andersen Hall. Computers are available for students to use for course work, to attend classes or for other educational functions.

- Freedom Forum, First Floor
- News Room, Second Floor
- South Conference Area, Second Floor
- Bailey Lauerman Commons, Third Floor
All CoJMC students are required to purchase, lease or have access to a laptop computer. See the laptop policy for additional details.
