Larry Walklin, Ph.D.

Larry Walklin started in commercial broadcasting at the age of 16. His background includes management as well as on-air assignments. He has been president and chair of the board of directors of the Nebraska Broadcasters Association, a member of the national board of directors of the Radio-Television News Directors Association, head of the Radio-TV Journalism division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications and a member of the First Amendment Committee of the National Association of Broadcasters.

Currently he is the chair of the media committee that coordinates the radio, television and photo pool coverage of the courts in Nebraska, Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. He was elected to membership in the Nebraska Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.

His Ph.D. is from the University of Iowa, his M.A. from Michigan State University and his B.A. from Kansas State University.
