Tools and Technology

You probably already have a good start on all things digital, but we’ll help you polish those skills so they can take you anywhere. Learn to mine data to tell a story or plan an ad campaign. Learn how to create a storybot. Be a part of Maker Hours on Friday afternoons. Experiment with hardware and software. Full HD Studio

Tell your stories in high definition from CoJMC’s two HD television studios and from the KRNU FM radio studio. A big gift from the Nebraska Broadcasters Association means you will be able to learn on the kind of equipment the pros are using today to produce newscasts and specialty shows for both TV and radio. You can be on the air or behind the scenes, reporting or producing or anchoring. Here are some examples of the types of broadcasts you can be a part of.

High Tech Hardware

The CoJMC is equipped with some of the latest video and photgraphy hardware, which is available to students through the checkout room. You can learn to take amazing photos and shoot incredible video on some of the same equipment that the professionals use.
