Arrows to the action

Andy Boyle, Erie Times-News in Erie, Penn.
It's been awhile since I've last written anything, but I've been pretty busy at work and with my social life. Now that more interns are at the paper, there's more people to hang out with after work and go on adventures.
One of my coworker interns, Halle Stockton, just got back from San Francisco. She won first place in the Hearst for writing. She also told me I had to mention her once in my blog, so there you go. Way to go Halle.
I had a roommate evicted and a new one moved in. That's a can of worms, obviously, but all is well now. Except the plague has descended on me -- a cold! I'll be over it in a few days, but I totally forgot what it was like to be sick.
I've covered a lot of stuff the past few weeks. I end up writing a brief and two stories almost every day, except on days when I don't get anything and just work on long-term projects. The days are going faster and my fifth week out here is almost done.
Two of my buddies are driving out here starting Wednesday and they'll get here Thursday. We plan on driving out to Cleveland Friday to watch the Braves smoke the Indians. Or at least, that's what my buddy Dan Wissink would most likely say (he's one of the guys driving out here, and a former roomie).
The other pal is Knate. His real name is Nathaniel, but for some reason there's a K in front of his name as long as I've known him. I haven't seen him since he moved out to Grand Island. Last I knew, he wanted to become a broadcasting major but then he dropped out. Hopefully on this trip I can change his mind and make him go back to school.
I'm trying to find a multimedia project to work on for the newspaper's Web site and I don't have any ideas. I think maybe something on spray paint art and how the city feels about it.
Cold medicine and my new comics are calling my name, so off I must go!
