The sky is the limit.

Projects seem to come in waves. A few new sites will be pushed live soon... and with these sites comes A LOT of CMS (Content Management System) work for the helpful intern (ME!). This basically means that I will be populating the site with all of the content it needs before it can be seen by the general public.

Until then, I am helping in other ways. Research needs to be done for our new projects. Google has quickly become my closest co-worker. I look for cool sites: nice design or layout, helpful applications or sweet features.

For designers it is important to look at what else is out there. It is not about taking ideas from anyone... but instead, it can be used as inspiration. An idea can be enhanced by using a certain application or rearranging the elements of a page. Also, find pages that you like, that you think are successful. Why are they successful? Why do you think they have really hit the mark... and take note! Learn from the successes (as well as from the failures) of others and use the information responsibly.

This can be used in anything, really. I draw inspiration for my projects from photography, magazine layouts, flyer design, artwork... fashion. The trick is being able to analyze the things you like with a creative mindset.

The sky is the limit.
