BIG REWARDS. Channel your good works for this real-world PR opportunity that allows you to research, plan, implement (here on campus and in our community), evaluate and pitch your campaign. You’ll join the ranks of previous CoJMC Bateman teams whose social cause campaigns have earned top-3, top-16 and top-20 national finishes in the College’s four years of competing.

BIG COMMITMENT. Participation in the Bateman PR Competition (ADPR 439) spans portions of the fall and spring semester:

  • Oct. 5 through early December (Fri. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) – when the team will complete the campaign research and strategy; 1 course credit
  • Jan. 7 through early May (class time TBD)– when the team will create and implement campaign tactics, assess overall campaign effectiveness and send in an overall campaign book and pitch to PRSSA judges; 3 course credits

DO GOOD. Previous Bateman campaigns have addressed social issues relevant to today, such as childhood cancer, mental health, student veterans and affordable housing. You can learn more about the Bateman Competition on the national PRSSA website at http://bit.ly/2wgqYLF .
