UCARE Opportunity for Ad Student
The Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools (CYFS) has an outstanding opportunity for a student who would like to gain extensive experience in the development, writing and designing of an annual report and quarterly newsletters.
This student would be paid $8 per hour as a UCARE student and work under the guidance of Dr. Gina Kunz, Research Assistant Professor in CYFS.

UCARE:
• Application Due: February 13, 2009
• Funding would begin June 1, 2009
• UCARE students can earn $8.00 per hour and can work up to 250 hours a year up to $2,000 per year
• This opportunity can be for up to two years
• Could begin to work on the projects as a volunteer prior to June 1, 2009
• Faculty Member/Supervisor: Dr. Gina Kunz
• Office location: 216 Mabel Lee Hall
Projects:
• Development, designing and writing of the Annual Report for the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools (CYFS) set for completion in September 2009.
• Designing, writing and formatting of the quarterly CYFS Newsletter
Other Possible Projects:
• Development of Fliers, Brochures and Written public relations information.
• Feedback regarding the expansion, improvement and development the existing website: http://www.cyfs.unl.edu/
Requirements and Skills:
• Basic knowledge of and experience with InDesign
• Communication with UNL for compliance with University PR requirements
• Solid journalism and writing skills
• At least junior standing for Fall 2009 semester
