KHAS-TV NEWS 5 is the NBC affiliate in Hastings, Neb. (Market 106).
The successful candidate will have at least two years of on-air
anchoring experience. This is not an entry-level position. We're
looking for an experienced newsroom leader who is willing to get
involved with the communities we serve. Our anchors get out from behind
the desk -- meeting the people in central Nebraska and northern Kansas
and telling their stories. Strong writing and reporting skills are
important. Must be able to handle breaking news, demonstrate superior
editorial judgment and ethical decision-making skills, and create
compelling stories for on-air and our website. Bachelor's degree, valid
driver's license and good driving record required.
