Associate Director, Enrollment Communications, DePaul University, Chicago
General Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Communications, the Associate Director of Enrollment Communications supports the Enrollment Communications department. He/she will act as a Project Manager and manage enrollment communication tactics for University and college-based efforts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Project management for enrollment communications initiatives including collaborating with internal departments and colleges to produce marketing materials. Serve as the main contact, liaison and project manager for recruitment communication initiatives with a focus on adult/graduate markets.
* Coordinate projects with outside and/or internal vendors such as copywriters, graphic designers, photographers and printers. Responsible for creative development, production, proof reading/editing, delivery and deadline management of each project.
* Research, develop and execute marketing communication strategies and tactics. Manage ad hoc enrollment communication projects from inception to completion including the production of recruitment publications (brochures, direct mail and other marketing collateral).
* Proof read and edit enrollment communications collateral.
* Support director with DePaul graphic standards compliance in conjunction with DePaul Publications Group. Serve as brand steward for the university, ensuring recruitment materials are brand compliant.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree required, with emphasis in marketing or communications strongly preferred.
* Minimum of 3-5 years marketing experience in a highly respected consumer product, services firm, or non-profit organization.
* Experience in marketing communications management, direct response, print, electronic production, and project management.
* Must have previous client service experience.
* Must demonstrate excellent communication, organizational and project management skills. Must be able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines, multi-task and work independently on projects from inception to completion. Must be accountable for his/her work.
* Strong written, verbal and proof reading/editing skills. Must be highly proactive, detail-oriented, analytical and resourceful. Team player with a cooperative spirit and a sense of humor.
* Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
* Understanding of marketing principles.
* Knowledge of PhotoShop, QuarkXPress, and InDesign and/or similar graphic design programs helpful. Familiarity with local creative, print and direct marketing resources.
