JOB TITLE: Production Assistant I (p/t)
DEPARTMENT: Community Access
WORK HOURS: Varied evening hours
REPORTS TO: Community Access Supervisor
OBJECTIVES: This part-time position provides hands-on experience with professional video production equipment including training, taping and editing opportunities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1) Time Warner Cable programs on five cable channels.
2) Providing training and technical assistance to community users.
3) Producing a variety of Time Warner Cable productions for PEG channels as well as for Nebraska on Demand.
4) Prompt and regular attendance.
5) Other duties as assigned by management.
HUMAN RELATIONS: Must be able to work with co-workers and community access users. This position has no supervisory requirements.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• A high school education or equivalent.
• Undergraduate course work in video production a plus.
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
• Reliable transportation.
• Computer skills are a plus.
• Candidates should possess strong video production skills, the ability to work well with others and a desire to learn.
• Applicants must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Stand and sit for long periods of time.
