PURPOSE STATEMENT: The person in this position is responsible for telemarketing existing and potential Time Warner Cable customers with specials, upgrades and quality control calls.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position generally reports to the Sales & Telemarketing Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Call existing and potential Time Warner Cable customers with current telemarketing specials.
2. Call existing customers to upgrade service.
3. Make phone calls both 48 hours before and after installation to ensure quality control and that the customer has received desired services.
4. Call customers nearing end of specials for retention purposes.
5. Prompt and regular attendance.
6. Other duties as assigned by management.
HUMAN RELATIONS: Has extensive contact with people via the phone. Requires good phone presentation and manner and the ability to maintain composure in difficult situations. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of one year of phone or sales experience desired. High level of professionalism required. Smooth phone presentation skills required. Foreign language ability a plus.
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Must be able to work well independently and goal driven.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, telephone, ten key, and other office equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit and talk on the phone for long periods of time. Typing and reading on computer and data entry on ten key.
