KOLN-TV Reporter/Anchor
KOLN/KGIN-TV is currently seeking applicants for the above position in our Lincoln newsroom.
The anchor/reporter has responsibilities for anchoring, reporting, news gathering and news presentation.
Duties include:
The select candidate is capable of reporting, writing, anchoring, producing, planning, story generation, web posting, videography and editing, and producing news stories from inception to completion professionally, as assigned, and on deadline. Duties include TV & online news stories that are professionally complete and compelling, anchor weekend newscasts or other newscasts as assigned, present stories calmly and clearly and in a live capacity, appear at promotional functions as assigned, operate news equipment in a safe, professional manner, write and anchor news promotional material, contribute regularly to news story ideas and perform duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
College degree or equivalent job experience in a journalism related field. Above average knowledge of the operation of news videography and editing equipment. The ability to communicate live on-air in a professional manner. The ability to type and operate newsroom computers in an above average capacity. Excellent people skills when dealing with co-workers and the public. Maintain a permanent residence in Lancaster County. A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
