Grand Island Reporting position
The Grand Island Independent, a 23,000 circulation newspaper and information center, is seeking a reporter to cover the health and business beat. Grand Island is a retail center for Central Nebraska with expanding health care offerings. Duties also would include general assignment stories and coverage of non-profit agencies, along with regular features.
This position also would offer exciting opportunities in online reporting and multimedia presentations on our Web site, theindependent.com.
Hours would be mostly day hours, with occasional nights and weekends. Competitive salary offered, along with excellent benefits, including health insurance, life insurance, vacation and 401(k) plan.
