ABC News has free lance openings for ABC News OnCall+

ABC News has free lance openings for the ABC News OnCall+ project to create a series of online resources on a variety of diseases using video and text content. The project can be viewed by going to ABCNews.com, clicking on the health page and looking for special sections on pain, diabetes and breast cancer.

These are openings in our Boston office for December graduates or others for production associate positions paying $750/week. We are looking for people who have an interest in communicating medical information to the public, for these entry level positions. College graduates who have demonstrated in their internships and/or classes an interest in medicine are desirable, although medical interest is not required for the PA positions. Job duties include data entry, transcribing interviews, helping respond to users questions, and producing content to the ABC News website.

And we have one opening for an Associate Producer writing position in Boston which pays $875/week. For this position we are seeking someone with at least two continuous years of paid professional experience writing medical content, either for newspapers or online. This writer will be doing stories for ABCNews.com and working on the production of the video and text content to the site. So both medical journalism paid experience and knowledge of internet production are desirable.

All of these positions are currently free lance for six months, although this is a project which is being evaluated by ABC News and there is a good chance the positions will go beyond six months.

These are openings for positions which start immediately.
