Sponsored by The Fund for American Studies in partnership with Georgetown University, the Institute on Political Journalism combines substantive internships, courses for academic credit, career development activities, site briefings and panels featuring professional journalists.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the Final Deadline of March 1, 2007. There is a substantial amount of scholarship funding still available to outstanding students. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and merit.

  • Internships - Competitive placements with media organizations
  • Classes - Up to 9 credits in ethics and economics for journalists from Georgetown University
  • Housing - Furnished, on-campus apartments in the heart of D.C.
  • Site Briefings - At the White House Complex, U.S. House of Representatives and State Department
  • Guest Lectures - With Washington's top print and broadcast journalists
  • Leadership & Professional Development - Leadership, mentoring and career building activities
