Communications Internship - University of Nebraska Technology Park
The University of Nebraska Technology Park seeks a student studying news-editorial, advertising or public relations for its communications internship.
The successful candidate will write news releases, write news articles about the small businesses located within the park, write and design a quarterly newsletter, and make routine updates to the Tech Park Web site. The position will also include other communications, clerical and reception desk projects as assigned.
The paid internship of 15 to 20 hours per week during the school year begins in December 2006. This internship offers flexible scheduling of work hours, professional experience, and a great work environment for interaction with technology-based start-up businesses in the park.
Completion of news writing and editing courses and familiarity with Associated Press style is preferred. Familiarity with either PageMaker or InDesign, basic HTML knowledge and Web site editing skills desirable. Students interested in business communications, public relations or organization news writing are especially encouraged to apply.
