NU produces winners at highest level

More than a dozen students or faculty at the University of Nebraska have received Pulitzer Prizes since the awards were established and endowed in 1917 by Joseph Pulitzer. The prizes are awarded annually in recognition of outstanding accomplishments in journalism, letters, music and drama.

Three others with connections to NU have received Peabody Awards, established in 1940 to recognize distinguished achievement and meritorious public service by electronically-delivered programming.

In preparation for its centennial reunion in September, the Daily Nebraskan compiled a list of prize winners who were either students or faculty members at the University of Nebraska.
